Steak and Blue Cheese Salad Paired with Family Album Petite Sirah

Blueberry Balsamic Vinaigrette Ingredients

  1. Olive Oil (1/4 cup)

  2. Blueberries (1/2 cup)

  3. Orange Juice (1/4 cup)

  4. Balsamic Vinegar (1/4 cup)

  5. Dijon Mustard (1 tablespoon)

  6. Honey (1 tablespoon)

  7. Salt (1/4 teaspoon)

For the Vinaigrette...

  • Add all of the dressing ingredients in a blender and process until smooth.

Salad Ingredients

  1. Steak (1 lb.)

  2. Mixed Greens (12 cups)

  3. Salt & Pepper

  4. Blue Cheese (1/2 cup)

  5. Red Onion (2/3 cup, chopped)

  6. Blueberries (1 cup)

  7. Pine Nuts (1/2 cup, toasted)

For the Steak...

  • Grill the steak either on an outside grill or a grill pan.

  • Cook to desired preference.

  • Let rest 5 minutes, then cut the steak into thin slices.

Assemble the Salad...

  • Toss the greens with the vinaigrette plus the blue cheese, onion, blueberries, and pine nuts.

  • Arrange the greens on a plate and top with the slices of steak.

  • Pair with our Petite Sirah!
